Hello World!

philosophy random

Hello fellow lifeforms reading this, thank you very much for being here. It means a lot to me. Get started by reading this intro writing to catch up with what we are cooking and will be cooking in the future.

The Genesis

If my memory serves me right, I believe it all began when I was about to turn 18. I realized I could talk to myself. I just don't know how to put it, but simply, yes, overthinking and internal monologue. The habit started all of a sudden, and by the time I had realized this, I was already way too deep into it that I could not escape. So I embraced it.

In my free time, I would spend time with myself, wondering and thinking. Though the thoughts aren't scientific or brilliant, they do help one become conscious. Gradually I was deeper and deeper into this; the 2 AM thoughts and memes became real. Every night, while others are sleeping and dreaming something beautiful, I was giving a global speech on why I should be a political leader. In reality, I basically know nothing about politics.

I used to lucid dream in the past. I would be a superhuman, or a god, trying to make the world better, providing justice and blessings through progress. The more I grew up, the more I realized that those powers and responsibilities don't make the world better; rather, they increase the sufferings.

Nature is weird. You think you are powerful. You try to take on responsibilities and the ability to change things. You end up suffering yourself, because the fundamental rules of nature have to remain the same while you will run out of energy and life. The maturity is in embracing it, or maybe just not sweating it. You can be a good person who helps others and behaves nicely, and that is enough for a simple life. But trying to take on bigger responsibilities without fathoming the complexity of nature will only harm you.

This is the conclusion I got after years of thoughts on this topic, years of recursive thoughts, loss of brain power and cells, all just to arrive at this simple answer. I have a lot to talk about, but DISCLAIMER: I drift a lot. You will find me talking about one thing and suddenly something completely different. So please try to understand that.

What is Fisholophy?

Alright alright, tysm for being here till now! Let's get out of that quicksand and talk about why I started this blog.

As I mentioned earlier, I go by some nicknames: Loki, Fishy, and Shelly. These all have meanings, and the main thing is that I like these names. I have also mentioned that I like Computer Science (CompSci) and Philosophy. I kinda want to pursue both, but I tried to take a preview of Philosophy and got disappointed, so I am on my journey to create my own philosophy for philosophy. But about CompSci, it is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

So I made a portmanteau of "Fishy" and "Philosophy," resulting in Fisholophy (not accurate, but that's my style). Hehehe. To simply put it; Fisholophy is the brand name of my blogs where I talk about not only philosophy but also CompSci and some other nuanced topics.

Why Does Fisholophy Exist?

Fisholophy exists because I have many things to share: ideas, emotions, interpretations of life, reflections on the world and the universe, and explorations of computer science. It is a space where my thoughts take shape and become something tangible.

I am also fortunate to have supportive friends who believe in my writing. Their encouragement fuels my motivation and inspires me to keep creating.

What Will I Find in Fisholophy?

You'll find blogs here about computer science, philosophy, and other topics I find interesting. Sometimes they're technical, sometimes they're reflective.

I also share my personal opinions and the way I think through certain ideas. These aren't meant to be legal or professional advice, just thoughts, questions, and explorations.

If you're here, take your time. Slow down a bit. Think forward, think back. As people say, happiness isn't a destination; it's the journey.

You might also come across some of my favorite quotes along the way.

Does the Site Content Change?

The site content does change. There isn't a fixed schedule, but I usually update it once a month or every couple of months. Minor typos are corrected as soon as I notice them. Larger updates happen only when I develop new ideas or genuinely feel the need to refine or expand existing ones.

This is a progressive space where I write consistently while balancing other responsibilities. Feel free to visit from time to time and see what's new.

The Disclaimer

I need to be honest with you guys. I have used the assistance of AI in building this site, and here's why: life is busy and complicated. Building this whole platform by manual handwriting takes months of unpaid work. Proofreading grammar and making corrections manually takes forever, and before this depression hits and makes me not work on this anymore, I needed a way to keep things moving. But before you close this tab thinking you've been reading AI slop, hear me out.

Although I have used AI, the main flow and the things that you are actually liking about this platform are curated choices of mine. I understand AI, and I assure you I have taken its assistance only to boost efficiency and deliver you the service you would genuinely enjoy. The ideas, the perspectives, the weird chain of thoughts? Those are very much mine. The AI just helps me not forget a comma.

There's one more thing worth mentioning. Since I drift a lot and frequently get distracted from the topic I'm supposed to be talking about, I have developed a set of structures for different types of writings here at Fisholophy. Think of them as guardrails so I don't go on a four-paragraph tangent about lucid dreaming when I was supposed to be explaining how TCP/IP works. These structures keep things consistent, save time, and prevent what I lovingly call infinite recursion doom.

Here are some structures that you might find me follow:

Alright, now you know how I cook here. Welcome to Fisholophy, and I hope you enjoy your stay.
